Doublefile viburnum 'Shasta'

The Green Man likes to tell clients "Viburnums are the Lexus of shrubs." Accordingly, the doublefile viburnum is the Lexus LS10...the top of the line. Make sure you have at least one. Works well in sun or shade, so use in rhododendron banks along with azaleas, mountain laurel, pieris, fothergilla, and ferns. In sun, combine with Japanese maples, lilacs, and ornamental grasses.

Description
Shasta' displays a profusion of extra large, pure white flowers that are larger than those found on other cultivars. The growth habit is strongly horizontal, twice as wide as high, making 'Shasta' a choice without equal as an architectural specimen. Bright red fruits are a brief ornamental attraction in late June followed by gorgeous maroon-purple autumn color.
